Wool and other animal hair are natural fibres that will keep you cosy and warm. When washing wool and similar fibres such as alpaca, cashmere and mohair, use a suitable detergent for delicates. Only wash in cold water, and avoid spinning. And never, under any circumstances, use fabric softener as it will shrink the fibres and you will be sad. Unfortunately for wool lovers, moths absolutely love these types of fabrics, and their larvae will munch through them, so make sure to protect the fabric/garment. Wool is used for garments like sweaters, coats, trousers and jackets.
